Serving as an Arts Centre for the local community, this Victorian building, originally built as a school in c.1860, was in a dilapidated state and the facilities were totally inadequate. The original building was retained in it's entirety and completely renovated, while new extensions to the side and front of the building provided new accommadation required by the Arts Centre and the new 'Sure Start' facility. The design incorporated a new glass and brick stair and lift tower with a glazed pyramid roof, signifying the building's renaissance on the Weymouth quay front. A fully glazed connection between the extensions and the old building allowed the old entrance facade to show through the new.

Planning consent was obtained for new stone-built extensions and extensive remodelling to this old farmhouse on the outskirts of a West Dorset village. Proposals also included a garage block with a first floor studio/office and utility rooms.
